  • Primary Purpose:

    Under the direction of the VP of Research and Innovative Product Development, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for evaluating product design concepts, development of mechanical concepts and generating final mechanical drawings for product tooling and/or manufacture. This position supports the activities of both engineering and some production/manufacturing.

    Essential Duties:

    • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain products; assist in commercialization.
    • Assist in identifying and organizing requirements. Apply usability procedures and principles at project or product-line level or through customer input.
    • Build prototypes, products, and systems for testing; set up and run laboratory simulations.
    • Design testing procedures and coordinate testing. Conduct tests, document results, and develop client presentation.
    • Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, codes, and other artifacts.
    • Evaluate engineering approaches and risks to produce and iterate development plans.
    • Contribute to design standards and support design reuse.
    • Write technical reports, papers, articles, presentations, and patents.
    • Other tasks assigned by upper management.

    Qualifications:

    • Working knowledge of SolidWorks 3D modeling, 2D drafting, FEA structural simulation, and flow simulation.
    • Hands on experience with machining, fabrication, and plastics.
    • Understanding of product development cycle, from concept to market.
    • Strong analytical skills balanced with creativity and innovation.
    • Knowledge in tolerance analysis and fluids dynamics.
    • Strong effective communicator both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work in a fast pace environment of constant change.
    • Self-directed individual who works well within a team environment.
    • 3D Printing familiarity.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; in mechanical engineering or in a similar discipline.
    • Previous experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment or Power Tools industry is highly preferred but not required.
    • Experience working in a multi-channel retail business/industry.

  • Primary Purpose:

    The role of the Industrial Product Designer, under minimal supervision, will combine artistic talent with research on product use, marketing, and materials to create a variety of functional and appealing product designs that enhance and support the value of our brands. Industrial Product Designer is passionate about creating excitement through thoughtful product concepts and improving the consumer experience while using the next generation of power cleaning products

    Essential Duties:

    • Design and develop new products and components.
    • Analyze the requirements, capabilities and performance of new and existing products. Communicate orally and in writing with personnel at all levels regarding the technical details of new and existing products. Such communication may include, but is not limited to: Analysis of products, assemblies and components drawings and sketches that conform to drawing standards.
    • Research potential new product developments, new processes, and/or new sources
    • Design, develop, and lead tests to qualify new products and to support changes to existing products. Lead the activities of a product development team.
    • Use CAD programs to develop concepts and designs. Procure components and services for development of prototype hardware.
    • Assemble and evaluate the performance of prototype hardware.
    • Review and act on supplier non-conformance. Be instrumental in cost avoidance and cost reduction activities.
    • Process customer and in-house engineering sample requests. Assist with the on-going short term reliability test program.
    • Provide the Engineering Manager with the technical information for the monthly Engineering Report.

    Qualifications:

  • Primary Purpose:

    The Customer Service/ Marketing Support Assistant is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products as well as communicating effectively with team members within the customer service and marketing departments.

    Essential Duties:

    • Handles high volume of incoming calls or inquiries from current and prospective customers.
    • Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests.
    • Completes supporting paperwork and data entry as required.
    • Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
    • Partners with the sales and marketing teams to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations.
    • Works with the marketing team on a broad range of projects from exhibition campaigns to digital updates including: website updates, social media, and email marketing.
    • Assists the marketing team with projects to meet deadlines.
    • Other duties as assigned.

  • The Scheduler/Planner coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing production and work schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels, and solving production problems.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ Years prior scheduling/planning experience in manufacturing environment.
    • Advanced computer skills, including experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Proven ability to express points to senior management team with confidence.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment – strong ability to multitask complex projects efficiently.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Education/Certification

    Major Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation
    • Analyze and prepare documents needed for production.
    • Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand.
    • Creates production schedule and prioritizes job-orders for production optimization.
    • Maintains the production schedule and other reports as required.
    • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
    • Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory.
    • Interacts with production floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from other departments.

  • The role of the Designer/CAD Technician, under minimal supervision, works with the engineering team on drawings, bill of materials and technical data.   

    Essential Duties:

    • Work in conjunction with Engineer on assigned projects and day to day requirements.
    • Provide technical support to vendor to ensure that product received meets FNA Group requirements.
    • Support new product development from concept to market introduction and thereafter.
    • Create and maintain bill of materials (BOMs) for manufacturing and service.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     Qualifications:

    • Proficient with SolidWorks 3D design program.
    • Proven ability to identify creative solutions to problems.
    • Thorough knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Good organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Working knowledge of fluid mechanics, stress analysis and power transmissions, geometric tolerance.
    • Above average computer knowledge with spreadsheets and word processing programs.
    • Ability to read/interpret documents

    Education and Experience:

    • Associates Degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or Computer Aided Design preferred certified in SolidWorks.
    • 3-5 years experience in computer aided design using SolidWorks or Pro/E.
